The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. Snow Day

Well, they told us it was going to snow, but with the warm weather we've been having no one believed the meteorologist. I woke and it was cool, (remember: ol' thick skin me thinks cool is anywhere from 30 to 100 degrees.) and then after 9 I looked and noticed that it was snowing. As of 5 PM it is still snowing but with the ground as warm as it is it's only a covering. I can hazard a guess and say that it may have snowed about 3 inches so far but it's almost melting as soon as it hits. And what hasn't melted has is sitting on slush.

Oh, darn; I forgot to get a month's supply of bread, eggs, and milk. Why I don't know ( I hardly ever use any of the three in the house), but that seems to be the thing you're suppose to do before it snows.

I walked out on to the front porch to take some pictures and both Figaroe and Dennis followed me out. I wasn't worried because I know that neither of them would go into the snow. But as soon as Dennis sniffed the snow he was ready to go back in and started doing his beeker impersonation (ie: reference to The Muppet Show ) until I opened the screen to allow him back in, but Figaroe just stood there at the edge of the porch like she was fascinated. I knew that if she'd ever touched that snow with her paw she'd head back towards the house on the double.

So other then that it's one of them slow days, just getting some work done on Charles' TV and trying to straighten up.
