The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. The Moreland Snow Jam 2008

No, I am not talking about the Snow family of Moreland, (is there a Snow family in Moreland?), entertaining us with their style of music. We had snow.
I woke up to see that it just started to snow and I walked around outside and took some of these pictures. Well, the snow maybe got to about ½ an inch. But the ground was still too warm which is a bad combination here. I should have realized what was going on when I stopped at Kroger last night after leaving Hospice and there was a long line of folks buying bread and milk, (for those of you not familiar with this area, any mention of snow by the meteorologist will get a run on the groceries stores for bread and milk). I understand Troup Co. was hit pretty hard by those that thunk they could drive on snow, at one point they had 18 calls in one hour, but I kept my little ol’ self at home and watched the fire engine go by my house sideways.
I have pictures of the cats in the snow. I took Figaroe out first and put her on the hood of the truck. She jumped off and headed straight back to the door.
Then I took Dennis out and tried to put him on the hood but he jumped off and streaked under the carport. I tried several times and finally the picture with me holding him by the throat was my ultramation that he will get his picture taken in the snow. He is such a pussy.
Last I took socks out to the truck and he seemed to like it. He wander around here and there sniffing and I soon had to grab him up and bring him inside.
Here below is a list of the links to the snow pictures.
