The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. A Little Home Work.

I got up with the chickens this morning and after a breakfast I got outside and raked leaves, {in 30 degree weather!?! he must be daft!!!). That new technique I learned of raking the leaves onto a tarp and then pulling the tarp over to where the leaves are to be burn works wonders.

I did five loads in a little over 2 hours and then lit them up. Since the leaves were still damp the fire burned slow.
Oh, by the way... anyone needing some pot ash just hit me up.

But after the fire burned down a bit I got busy in the house. That front bedroom that tended to catch all the junk; well, it's not cleaned out but I made a good dent into it. Found things I haven't seen in years. Bunch of old photographs, and even a few of a beloved that I thought were lost. That was bittersweet.

Now to get that paper on Mike Rowe done for BUS100 that's due tomorrow.
