The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. It has been a busy week and it is just now Wed. Some physical problems came up last week so I went to the Dr. on Monday AM.  He immediately sent me to the hospital for testing.  By noon Monday I was diagnosis as having ovarian cancer.  Spent all day yesterday (Tuesday) in San Antonio with the specialist and getting more test done.  I will go into the Methodist on Thursday and have surgery on Friday at 3PM.  Test show it to be outside the ovary and in surrounding tissue.  Dr. said there is no way he can get it all but will get what he can.  May have to remove part of the intestines.  I will then start Chemo.  Dr. says there is an 85% chance of the chemo being effective.  Eddie will be staying at a motel across the street from the Methodist.  His cell # is 210-218-3263.
We will keep all of you posted.  God will be with us and we will be fine.  Do not waste energy worrying just pray.
Pat
