The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. Vacation 2010 - Day 9

It's been a raining sort of dismal day, just one of them lay back ones where I didn't do anything except charge my endorphins. It was cool here, and Eddie and I went out earlier and in 17 min, I put up my truck tent to show him. It was still a little damp from the last time I used it and it rained a bit so I decided to leave the tent up. Around 13:30 we headed towards Kerrville, TX, to a restaurant called the Lakehouse which sit right on the Guadalupe River. There we met with Peggy Jean & Herb Adams. We had a good Lunner (Linner) (?) I had the catfish. The catfish comes in filets and not whole like what I'm use to at home plus the it's fried a little harder then what I'm use to but it was still good. But I'll still be looking for some good whole catfish and hushpuppies when I get home. But we had a good visit and then it was time to part. We headed back home and ran into light rain all the way and it was raining decently when we got to Dunlay.
