The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. Coming down to the Wire.

Just took a few minutes out to post to the blog before the Great Vacation. This will be the last entry until I return on the 19th, and more then likely I won’t be able to do any posting until the 22nd. But I did get the truck to pass emissions and now have a tag and am trying to get the “cat-condo” finished up, plus packing. I’ll be ready Monday morning, but I wonder just what all I’ll forget to pack. I believe I can do without anything except the tent and the traveler-check card, (I’m putting that in the wallet now).

The below picture is an old one. This is of Dennis back in the back bed-room. This is the room that I had to replace the floor in and I also tore down the partition wall and make the two rooms one big one. Where Dennis is at is where the partition was and that was where the slats for the wall didn’t come all the way over but the partition hid those holes. Also note that Dennis is near the ceiling, and the ceilings are 14 foot up.

Well, that’s all for now. Check back in, in about two weeks.
