Mr. Gary R. "Tex" Boettcher Sr.





Mr. Gary R. "Tex" Boettcher Sr., 66, of Moreland, Ga., died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004 at Franklin Healthcare in Franklin, Ga. Mr. Boettcher was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard in Texas and the Air National Guard.

He is survived by his daughter, Leslie Carroll of Moreland, Ga.; two sons, Charles Boettcher of Moreland and Gary Boettcher Jr. of Tuskegee, Ala.; brother, Eddie Robert Boettcher of Dunlay, TX; two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Boettcher and infant son Robert Edward Boettcher.

Arrangements are being handled by McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, Ga. where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28. Funeral service will be at Moreland Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29. Remains will lie in state at the church from 10:30 until the service hour. Rev. Jerry Eley officiating. Interment will be at Southview Cemetery in Moreland, Ga.
