The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. Yes, I'm still here.

I know it has has been a while but it has been to the point of either blog or sleep, and they sorry soul that I am, choice sleep. I have notice that I have a list of drafts over to the side that I need to go through and see if any of them been posted but not yet. If I did that right now, I would not be, blogging and you still might not hear from me any time soon.

Thank you to all of you that has invited me to join myspace, myplace, facebook, inyourface book, twitter, twaiter, twooter, and the myriad of other social networking sites, but I'd go absolutely plumb loco trying to keep up with all the different accounts, passwords, and what-nots. Therefore, I will just stick to plain ol’ old fogy’s blogging. Anyone can view it, anyone can leave a message, and if you are so incline, let me know and I’ll send you the e-mail address to where you can post directly to the site, if you have something you’d like to share with everyone.

Now, back to what I have been up too....

Since I have come back from vacation, I have been busy. Work has been trying to get me to make up the 48 hours I took for vacation by trying to get me to work 480 extra hours. Then there are repairs I have been doing on the house plus cleaning, cooking, and trying to keep sane. Then there is my “Q TV” project.

Some of you must be sitting there scratching your heads and thinking, “What’s a ‘Q TV’ “. Well, Q TV is simply this;

Because I get some slack time in the wee hours of the morning while on duty and the only thing that is on is infocommericals I have came up with this idea of recording a night’s worth of viewing programs onto a DVD. That way, I can watch what I want, with out commercials, and if I am called out then I can stop it and pick up where I left off.

A typical DVD will start with a cartoon, then a sit-com, a drama or comedy drama hour-long show, a feature movie and then a closer.

Lets take a Friday night for example, I’ve have a short 5 min preview of all the shows I’ve recorded for that night, then a cartoon, then it would be The Lucy Show, followed by The Greatest American Hero, then a Feature Movie, and then I’d close it out with The Roy Rogers Show.

A Saturday night would have, the preview, cartoon, the old sit-com 1st & Ten, then Star Trek: Enterprise, The Feature Movie, and then a little Japanese horror short.

Each night would have a different programming but would follow a pattern. Long feature movies I will split up over two nights and I show mini-series on Thursday. So far, this system works out pretty good, but I have to say on top of it or I will get behind.
Also in the new, I have a new cat. I know, I know... This is six and it maybe six too many but I was offered a male minx cat. I could not resist. He is about 8 weeks old and he is a strange looking thing crawling around, (his back legs looks to be longer then his front), and his meow is more of a squeak. He reminded me of a bat crawling around and so I have named him... (Wait for it)

Ranger B. A. T. That stands for Black, (he is solid) (Ahem) Tom.

He is my cat and I will name him what I want. pbsssst.

Well, pictures are in order and I will get them posted soon.

Ok, so I will stop here for now, and see about these drafts so check the older post because one or two of them may not be one you have seen before.
