The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. Getting reregistered

Well, instead of working 10 days in a roll; I only got seven in.

You see what had happen was:

I tried to register with Southern Union yesterday and was informed that since I was lazy and laid out a semester then I was going to have to apply for readmission on line - It would be easy, the website said.

Except there was no links to apply for readmission.  Calling the college was no help.  So, I called up the boss in palmetto and told him my sob story.  His reply was, "So?"

I then told him I was going to have to take tomorrow off to get this mess cleared up.  His reply was "oh..."

But since I'm not a habitual caller outer, (it's the greedy Scotsman in me) he agreed to allow me tomorrow off.

Neither of us was too happy.  Missing ten hours of pay can be an ouch.

So, after a rough night where the dimwits of LaStrange kept callin' us about their "sugar" being 96 I finally got off this morning and headed westward.

In Abanda I was able to stop into that little cafe and had a scrumptious breakfast then I was at the Admission window at the college so early that the clerk was still yawning.  Took two minutes to fill out a paper, 30 sec for the clerk to enter it into the system and I was ready to register.  With a quick sprint to the kiosk I was able to lock my schedule in and pay for it.  I'm now a student again.

I took a few moments out to see what changes that have been done to the campus.  The bell tower had been finished and the old "library" had been torn out with all the landscaping done.  It looks nice.

To tell the truth; I'm kinda looking forward to this coming semester.
