The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. Ain't this the breaks......

Yesterday as I was going to work, my "need fuel" light came on so I know I was good for another 50 miles before running dry. As I passed Ex 28 I notice that the signed on Love's Truck Stop had gas at $3.24 a gal. I thought, "Hey, I'll stop and fill up on the way home."

On the way home, I did stop. The gas was still $3.24 about a nickel cheaper then in LaGrange. So I filled up. Or as much of a fill up as $75.00 would get me. They have a limit when you use a card. And then stopped in at the grocery store across the road to get some supplies.

When I left, the store I just kind of glanced over at the Love's marquee and did a double take. Gas had dropped to $3.09. If I had waited until I've gotten out of the store to buy then I would have been able to get a whole extra gallon.

Oh, Well................
