The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. A little bit of a mix-up.

Yesterday, I met Mark and Joyce for lunch to celebrate her birthday at the Lucky Dragon on Austell Rd. Austell, GA. I gave her a gift card for Barnes and Noble and after lunch we went to the store at Cumberland Mall and did some shopping. I believe that the Barnes and Noble in Newnan has a much better selection.

After leaving there I went to see my chiropractor at Franks Chiropractic Life Center off of South Cobb Dr to get an adjustment. Well, I wasn't too cooperative yesterday, the doc couldn't get much movement out of me. After that I went home and took a nap, (seems I live for my naps now).

Well, around 8:30 my time I'm awoken by a call from Aunt Pat, I knew it was her from her distinct ring tone I've assigned to her. As I reached for the phone, I notice what time it was and my reaction was:

"I'm Late for Work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".

So instead of answering the phone I start to hurry and get my uniform on, get my lunch ready, slop the cats, and do a Dagwood heading out the door. I jump into my truck and start heading towards work and was about to call the supervisor to give him an ETA when like a bolt of lighting, it struck me right between the eyes and I stopped dead in my tracks, although the truck kept hurling forward:

I'M OFF TONIGHT!

Then I stopped the truck in it's tracks and turned around and headed back home.

Well, after I arrive back home I had to endure the cats rolling on the ground, pointing their paws at me and laughing. Cats, do have ESP and mine knew what I have done. So after we sat around and giggled for a while, I remember that Aunt Pat had called and wondered what it was she wanted.

Well, Eddie and Pat had to endure a lot of confusion today due to my Blog entry on Prunie and when her funeral is and Aunt Pat just wanted to pass it along, and she did, in more ways then one.

But to clear up the confusion I got my information from the Odessa American obit. It seems that there will be two services for Prunie, one on Friday in Odessa, and the other at graveside on Saturday in Kyle. Which makes sense, since there is about 400 miles between the two places and I don't think anyone wants to ride in a 400 mile funeral procession.

So I am sorry for any confusion that I've caused but it seems I've been paid back.
