Frederick “Fred” A. Chappell



Frederick “Fred” A. Chappell, age 58, of New Braunfels, passed away, Saturday, December 22, 2007 at McKenna Memorial Hospital. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Louis Chappell and Lela (Brimmage) Chappell on May 8, 1949. Fred was in the United States Marine Corps. and served during the Vietnam era.

He was the owner of Texas Industrial Installations and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He loved scuba diving in the Guadalupe River, traveling abroad, collecting guns, but his true passion was as an aircraft Pilot. He is survived by his wife, Jane (Taylor) Chappell; daughters, Serena Voges and husband Tim of New Braunfels and Melanie Bass and husband Frank of New Braunfels; brothers, Ronnie Chappell of Austin and Bradley Chappell of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Logan Voges, Hank Voges, Jana Voges, Bailey Bass, Blake Bass; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Public visitation will begin 8 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2007 with a funeral service to be held at 10 a.m. in the Zoeller Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Hill Country Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of one’s choice.
