The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. Just an update

This Blog will be seeing some revision. I have been informed that several viewers of this blog are still on dial-up and that the downloading of pictures does play havoc with the downloading speed. I’ll probably have a second blog set up for groups of pictures viewing, maybe some videos, ECT. So that those with a higher speed connection can look at them. I’ll still have, or try to have a downsized picture for each entry.

I’m still a couple of entries behind, i.e. a small vacation I took to Dauphin Island again, and what is going on now that I have finished, and have graduated paramedic school.

On a sad note, Martha J. Richardson of Valley, Al passed away on October 17, 2007. Martha was Aunt Virginia Whitten’s oldest daughter. She was 58. The Valley, Al. newspaper hasn’t posted the obituary to its electronic site yet and as soon as it does, I’ll post a copy here.
