The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. Paramedic School

Well, I have taken the step and have started Paramedic classes. And that's why I haven't been as diligent in keeping up the blog as I use to. I am taking the classes through a private company. SIFTA, which is owned by a Chris Cagle who was the chief firefighter in West Point, Ga. for a number of years. I have worked with a number of his former students, and have been impressed with their knowledge and skills, a lot more so then some of the lunk-heads that has been coming out of the technical colleges lately.

Now, I haven't given up on becoming an RN, this is just another step I'm taking to get to that goal. But the colleges want those that are coming out of high school it's really hard for someone that has been out of high-school as long as I have to get accepted. But paramedics go to the front of the waiting list line when they wish to cross over. So as you see there is a method to my "madness".

I am still working on posting my trip to Savannah, Ga. And one of these days when I have some extra free time I'll upgrade it. So keep a lookout.
