The Trees are Gone

Sure is nice to have politicians in your home town that look out after the citizens’ interest instead of their own (i.e.: see post of June 1, 2002). The two trees on the right away on Cameron St. are now history. The Mayor, the Honorable Jerry Smith, contracted to get the trees cut down, cut up and hauled off, and cleaned up. They left stumps there and I’m not sure what the city is planning but if they leave the stumps alone I’ll hollow out the middle and make planters out of them.
