The Great LaGrange Train Robbery

Well, even though this is serious, it still makes you chuckle just to think about it.

Last night we got a call for a Gun-shot wound on the Rail-Road Tracks at main street. Medic 1 was the first to respond. When they got there they realize that there were two people shot. So we were called to the scene. When we get there we had two engineers that had been shot. One in the knee and the other in the foot. The bullets had to be .17. Almost looked like maybe a pellet gun had done it, but the two engineers were in some pain so we had to transfer them out. On the way to the hospital, the one we were carrying, (shot in the knee) told us that they had stopped the train because someone was lying on the tracks. When they got out to investigate the man on the track pulled a gun and demanded their money. Somehow a scuffle insured and the two engineers were shot. The perpetrator then fled the scene.

The humorous part is not that the two engineers got shot but that the train was stopped for a robbery. This really should hit the dumb crook news. I can see CSX issuing a statement that for now on, the engineers are not to stop the train if they see someone on the track.
