Well, today I talked again with the Moreland Mayor and he is very serious about fixing the drainage problem. He has motivated the state DOT to clear out a drainage pipe that runs in front of the house and the northside will have a drainage pipe put in under the back driveway and a ditch dug down to the back of the property. The excess dirt from this ditch will be used to fill in the low spot in the side yard, landscaped in such a way as to drain towards that ditch.
All of this will happen on Monday. I will lose the two pecan trees on Cameron St.
but the one next to the driveway was next to dead any way and the other wasn't going to last but a few more years.
Now I definitely need to get out my camera and get some before and after pictures.
