The Journey of twenty-two hundred miles begins with just a single step. Lao Tzu (paraphrased) This blog is mainly about my excursion upon the Appalachian Trail. This is a journey that has been 15 years in the planning stage and on March 20, 2022 it will see that plan being executed. Chaplain Robert Wayne Boettcher, Captain in the US Army stationed at Fort Sill Oklahoma, just returned from a short tour in Iraq. Chaplain Boettcher along with his Commander and several other army personnel flew into Kuwait and then helicoptered to a number of remote areas to minister to the troops. The incredible sand storms hindered this mission and caused delays in flights. His Wife Erica and their six children were thankful to God for his safe return. Robert is the son of Eddie and Pat Boettcher of Dunlay Texas.
